Looks like LEADERS1354 in trying their hand at cap customization. Staying close to home, they have tricked out a Chicago White Sox alternate logo. Here’s a bit of baseball trivia. Ricky Powell x WEST Collab Tee...
Before paparazzi became a household name and TMZ gotten its own time slot on TV, there was Ricky Powell. The photographer captured the heydays of Studio 54 to the pioneering scene of hip-hop with acts from Run DMC and others. But it isn’t just about his photographs, Powell’s acute memories of events gives him an uncanny ability to reiterate a moment in details, making him the unofficial visual archivist of NYC.
Together with http://WestNYC.com , Powell recreated 3 of his infamous images: circa 1988 – Mike Tyson in Studio 54 with Public Enemy after a street brawl with Mitch “Blood” Green in Harlem. Circa 1987 – DMC of Run DMC in Hollis, Queens. And circa 2000 – Powell on vacation in Venice, Italy. All 3 screen-printed onto all cotton tees, black or white. We recently had to opportunity to spend some time in Chicago with Nike Sportswear and Mr. Cartoon as they celebrated the launch of the brand’s collaborative capsule for the 2010 World Cup. Amongst other topics, the Los Angeles-based tattoo artist/designer spoke of the importance of representing the USA with his artwork and giving back to young artists and creatives alike. We also get a peek into the new gallery/retail space between NSW and St. Alfreds. Enjoy!

MURS/Sick Ass Jacken Concert....REVIEW
Last Thursday i got to see MURS/Sick Ass Jacken tour @The Lincoln Hall...This was YOHO & I 1st Time in this new venue....I really liked the place, anywhere u stood was a good spot...Sound was great too...Sick Jacken started the show with sum tunes from his Stray Bullets album, Legend of the Mask & the Assassin, & of course from the Psycho Realms Classic Self-titled album....Unfortunately he performed for only 45min (That Sucks)...His last song he brought out MURS to Perform there song PAID DUES off the Stray Bullets LP...MURS came on with sum Lyrical Venom that let everyone know that this underground cat can SPIT...He went thru his catalog albums he has with 9Th Wonder....This Concert was very DOPE.and can't wait to see the next 1...Peace & here is some Footage from the concert...ENJOY!

Mr. Cartoon x Nike Sportswear Dunk High AC "True Colors" Shoe..
Mister Cartoon was a notable participant in the recent Nike Sportswear “True Colors” campaign which brought together a number of different global creatives to each make their mark on the icons of their respective countries. The 2010 World Cup-based campaign included ample amounts of products ranging from apparel to footwear and accessories. No stranger to footwear team-ups with Nike, a Mister Cartoon design is seen here with a gray canvas Dunk High AC. Subtle in its styling, the gray upper features a custom tongue tag and a sleek vulcanized outsole....

Boss was a female gangsta rapper who enjoyed brief popularity in 1993 with her debut album Born Gangstaz. Her name is sometimes spelled Bo$$. The name Boss is a ackronym that stands for "Bitch On Some Shit"[citation needed].
Laws relocated to Los Angeles after graduating high school. Laws was spotted by DJ Quik who stuck her on a track with AMG. Russell Simmons liked the track and promptly signed her to Def Jam West. Her debut album Born Gangstaz was released in 1993, and the single "Deeper" hit #1 on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks. The next single "Recipe for a Hoe" also hit #1 on the Rap Tracks chart.

El-Producto will return on August 3rd, 2010 with “WeAreAllGoingToBurnInHellMegaMixxx3″ on August 3rd, via Gold Dust Media. The collection includes mostly instrumental selections, as well as remixes he has done for tracks from Young Jeezy and Kidz In The Hall.
“I wanted to do little mini-movements that had a real beginning, middle and end and then moved on,” says El-P. “The challenge for me was taking all these seemingly unrelated little pieces of music I had laying around and fitting them together as a cohesive piece. I wanted to craft a record that had an arc.”
While branded as a “megamixx”, El suggests this is a definitive part of his catalog.
“This was a chance for me to give something to my fans as a reward for their patience as I worked on my new record. With the past Megamixxes, I never sat down and really tried to make a record. It was more like, ‘Here’s a bunch of cool stuff you haven’t heard.’ I look at this new one as a proper album. Me calling it a Megamixxx is just an excuse to get to Volume Three of anything.”

MF GRIMM New LP...You Only Live 2wice...
MF Grimm will return with his next LP, You Only Live Twice: The Audio Graphic Novel, currently set for a May 18th release date on Day By Day Entertainment. Not many details have been released, but the cover art, as seen above is by artist Jim Mahfood, whom fans might recognize from his work with Felt and Z-Trip. Mahfood will produce a 13 page comic book to accompany the album....

Air Jordan XI Silver Anniversary shoe...
After months of waiting and debate, the Air Jordan XI Silver Anniversary sneakers will finally be released today, Saturday, May 1st at select Jordan Brand retailers in the US. The all White Air Jordan XI features a White mesh and patent leather upper with an Ice outsole and no Jumpman logo around the ankle which has been a signature detail of the Jordan XI. For those of us who aren’t fortunate to have these weeks prior to the release, these will be sold at select Jordan Brand accounts today....
