De La Soul Live in Chicago 8/26/09...Review
I thought i was in a dream yesterday watching for my 1st time LIVE De La Soul @ the House of Blues. It brought me back to a time where all i thought of was HIP HOP and watching videos. De La took the stage with a 10 piece band and rocked the crowd as if this was there 1st time in the CHI. It was there 20th Anniv. of 3 Ft. High & Rising (1st album) and exploded with gems like Potholes in my Lawn, Me, Myself, & I, & Buddy Buddy to name a few. I felt like a kid again just watching them like when they use to come on RAP CITY (the Good ol' Days) or YO! MTV Raps. All in All i had a great time watching them and hangin' with my crew (Leo, YO HO, Spider, & Capola)...Can't wait to see them when they come back with a new Album. I also recorded some of the show...So Enjoy & Peace

The group was formed in 1994 and was effectively a supergroup, bringing together Prince Paul (The Undertaker), Frukwan (The Gatekeeper), Too Poetic (The Grym Reaper) and RZA (The Rzarector). The group is widely credited as being one of the most influential and pioneering groups in the small hip-hop sub genre of horrorcore....Enjoy and don't forget to rock your GOLD Fangs...

Futura 2000 x Nike Air Force 1's...
Next up from Futura and Nike is a pack that features four different models of Air Force 1s. We saw samples of this project in June, but now we can see the pack in detail. There are two high top and two low top models that are definitely a departure from the graphic and illustration-heavy approaches to previous Futura Nikes. These Air Force 1s go for the classic approach in single color choices–black, white, gray, and navy, allowing the shoe’s classic silhouette to speak for itself. The subtle details, like the use of both smooth and perforated leather and the incorporation of translucent outsoles that say “True” in Futura’s famous handstyle, make this Air Force 1 pack that releases in early 2010 one that collectors will swoon over yet again.
Stussy NYC x TimberLand shoe...
With the opening of Stussy NYC right around the corner as it replaces the fabled retail institution in Union NYC, the brand will commemerate its newest chapter with the release of a collaborative effort with Timberland. Designed solely by the Stussy NYC crew, the 8-hole moc-toe boot features a thick outsole and the stamp of approval from New York’s five boroughs. Available in two colors upon the chapter’s opening on August 24th, 2009.
OL SCHOOL WEDS. Video---Kid N' Play...
Kid 'n Play was a hip-hop and comedy duo from New York City that was popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Kid 'n Play recorded three albums together between 1987 and 1993: 2 Hype (1987), Kid 'n Play's Funhouse (1990), and Face the Nation (1991). All three albums focused upon positive lyrics backed by pop-friendly instrumental tracks. I thought I'd give you a taste of there style....Enjoy!

New PlaySyation 3.....Very Slim!!!
It looks like Sony continue their traditional system slimming with the announcement of their new Playstation 3 Slim. The top-notch video game system will now retail for $300, while still maintaining the same feature as its bulkier counterpart. Gizmodo breaks down some of the juicy details:
The slim will come with a 120GB drive, and will be 32% smaller and 36% lighter than the standard PlayStation 3, as well as using 34% less power. The $300 price will apply to all PlayStation 3s starting tomorrow. The Slim will be available everywhere by the first week of September.
The 80GB PS3 (current model) will be discounted to $300, whereas the 160GB PS3 will be $400. There will be a new PS3 logo as well as modifications to the official name from PLAYSTATION 3 to PlayStation 3 as to not be shouting all the time. It’ll also have a BRAVIA Sync feature that’ll allow you to control the PS3’s XMB with your Sony TV remote as long as they’re connected via HDMI. And the TV will automatically turn off the PS3 when the TV goes off.
There’s also a vertical stand retailing for $24 on September 3. Whether or not you can stand it up vertically for long periods of time without the stand is unknown. Sony also says that they’re eliminating the feature of installing other operating systems on the Slim, so no more Linux. Oh, and there will only be two USB ports.

OL SCHOOL WEDS. Video--Geto Boys..
The Geto Boys earned notoriety for its transgressive lyrics which included gore, psychotic experiences, necrophilia, and misogyny. In the early part of the decade, several American politicians attacked gangsta emcees, including the Geto Boys (though most famously Ice T and the 2 Live Crew). A high-profile incident in which Bushwick Bill lost an eye in a shooting with his girlfriend helped boost sales of its third album, We Can't Be Stopped. The album cover had a picture of the injured Bushwick being carted through a hospital by Scarface and Willie D. On the album's title track, the group responded to being dropped by Geffen Records. "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" became a hit in the hip-hop community.....Rest is History....Enjoy!

Futura 2000 x Descente Jacket...
Following the success of the previous collaboration series, the third project between Futura Laboratories and Descente has surfaced. This particular Airy Transfer Jacket is a special limited colorway produced for online retailer Stless. The key feature of this jacket is the 4 way stretch fabric which reduces strain on the wearer as the fabric stretches evenly in all direction unlike conventional fabrics. Another stand out feature of this jacket is the inner lining which acts to stop wind from getting through the jacket at the same time keeping warmth within. The light blue jacket is constructed with 100% polyester that is printed with the Futura’s famous artwork. Scheduled to be released on early November, Stless is currently taking pre orders until later this month.

Nike Air Max T-Zone
The Nike Air Max T-Zone is a pair of sneaker that may have been over looked by many in their previous releases but with the peak into the up coming Fall 2009 sample model, it might start to gain mass appeal. The colorway is kept simple and clean with the combination of white, grey and black with red accents working in harmony without over baring the balance of the sneaker. More details and information should surface near the release
OL SCHOOL WEDS Video---ICE T
Ice T landed a deal with a major label Sire Records Shortly after, he released his debut album Rhyme Pays in 1987 supported by DJ Evil E, DJ Aladdin and producer Afrika Islam, who helped create the mainly party-oriented sound. The record wound up being certified gold by the RIAA. That same year, he recorded the title theme song for Dennis Hopper's Colors, a film about inner-city life in Los Angeles. His next album Power was released in 1988, under his own label Rhyme Syndicate, and it was a more assured and impressive record, earning him strong reviews and his second gold record. Released in 1989, The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech... Just Watch What You Say established his popularity by matching excellent abrasive music with narrative and commentative lyrics. In 1991 he released his album OG: Original Gangster, which is regarded as one of the albums that defined gangsta rap. On OG, he introduced his hard rock/metal band Body Count in a track of the same name. Nowadays this actor, celebrity, reality star, & political activist is just living that dream a reality...Enjoy!!
