In Ancient Kemet, they believed the heart was the organ that controlled thought, logic, and knowledge. The weighing of the heart, against a feather, was used to determine if people were righteous or wicked during their time on earth. If their heart was heavier than the feather, the Heart was devoured. With the world rapidly changing, and evolving beyond recognition, people are becoming even more desensitized to the conditions we exist in. The most heinous acts are applauded as “interesting” and “entertaining” while genuine acts of love, and justice are shunned. We can sensationalize but we are scared of true emotion, we have more information now than ever before but no one wants to read. The truth is scary, it is easier to escape through our favorite vice, than to deal with the harsh reality of the present.

Air Jordan 7's.....Year of the Rabbit shoe
Jordan brand will be dropping soon the Air Jordan VII Retro “Year Of The Rabbit”. The red/gold colors hint at the theme of the sneaker, while we appreciate that they have not added too much graphical detail on the sneaker to communicate the Year Of The Rabbit theme. Overall a clean looking sneaker, worth looking forward to. A release is scheduled for May 1st, 2011.

Revok, one of Los Angeles’ best known graffiti writers, was arrested as he prepared to board a plane to Ireland at Los Angeles International Airport, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
Jason Williams, a.k.a. Revok, was taken into custody Thursday for an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to pay restitution, according to sheriff’s Capt. Mike Parker.
Authorities claim Revok is a member of the graffiti crew Mad Society Kings, or MSK. Officials from the sheriff’s department were notified that there was an outstanding warrant against Revok for failure to repay victims of previous vandalism incidents.
That led to his arrest, officials said.
Revok is being held in the Los Angeles County Jail in lieu of $320,000 bail

We're now announcing the release of Madlib Medicine Show #9: Channel 85 presents Nittyville, a full-length hip-hop album featuring Detroit's Frank Nitt. Originally launched as a one-a-month, 12-part series, Medicine Show #9 is the first to break the chronology.
Nittyville is also perhaps the most traditional of the series, and we make no bones about it: one MC, one producer, and a rap record all about stunts, blunts and hip-hop.
As for “Channel 85,” it is far off most dials. This album’s concept TV station runs one show only: the comic-drama, reality-musical called Nittyville, featuring Frank, MED, Oh No, Madlib, and a supporting cast of extras.
The album is 14 tracks including 10 rap tracks, 4 interludes, and runs 43 minutes.

Today, Converse announced the launch of the Mackintosh for Converse Jack Purcell Johnny shoe and Mac jacket. The DNA of the classic sneaker has been nicely fused with materials and aesthetics of the Mackintosh brand.
There are three versions of the Jack Purcell Johnny shoe, each with classic Jack detailing with white rubber soles and a signature navy toe-smile. The shoes include a version in navy blue with a lime interior, a version in putty with a chocolate interior, and a version with dark olive and a deep plum interior. Clean, monochromatic laces match the shoes’ upper but each also comes with a spare lace in the contrast color.
Just in time for April showers, the collection will launch April 22, 2011 in the UK and on May 1 in the US at Union in Los Angeles...

Concepts gives us a closer look into the retailer’s latest collaborative footwear release, the New Balance 999 by Concepts. Inspired by the stately heritage of the Massachusetts sailing community, Concepts wanted to create an understated and wearable shoe for any highly discerning sneaker consumer. The primary colors of the collaboration have been inspired by many sea faring signposts which explicitly bears its mark in the semaphore pattern grid used in the footbed while gray and khaki accents ground the shoe.
