Air Jordan IV 2012 White/Cement Grey Retro Preview ....
Although several previews have surfaced over the last few weeks, we’re finally given a clearer look into the upcoming white/cement grey retro of the Air Jordan IV. Arguably one of the more anticipated releases of 2012, this return will feature most of the same characteristics that made the original, and initial retro in 1999, such a success, aside from a darker shade of grey and Jumpman heel detail. Stay tuned for a closer look once a release date nears...

FREDDIE GIBBS & MADLIB - THUGGIN' EP....
At Friday’s Madlib Medicine Show tour stop in San Francisco, the producer announced a collaborative project with the rapper Freddie Gibbs. Gibbs also debuted “Thuggin’” and “Deep,” from their debut EP. The 6-track record is released on Madlib's Madlib Invazion label - the imprint the producer founded to release his 13 Madlib Medicine Show volumes. The duo’s as-of-yet untitled album is planned for release in first quarter 2012.
For Madlib, this marks another entry in an exciting series of collaborative albums that he has created with the likes of DOOM (Madvillainy), the late J Dilla (Jaylib) and Strong Arm Steady (In Search Of Stoney Jackson). For Gibbs, the album serves as somewhat of a departure: coming off the heels of his acclaimed Cold Day In Hell album, and before the release of the album he’s finishing for Young Jeezy’s CTE imprint, this project gives the Gary, Indiana-bred, LA-based rapper a chance to stretch out over the Beat Konducta’s lush musical tapestry. If the first single is any indication, this collaboration will find Gibbs’ rough raps landing atop smoldering soul and jagged psychedelia.
Created specially for Madlib’s Medicine Show Tour, late 2011 the Thuggin’ EP contains vocals, instrumentals and two bonus beats. Artwork by Jeff Jank features a dual A-side, "Madlib" embossed on one side, "Freddie Gibbs" on the flip.

Dinner With Action Bronson & Statik Selektah, Part 1...
In Part 1 of this web series, hilarity ensues when Action Bronson and Statik Selektah hit the town for an upscale Italian dinner. Somewhere in between smoking a Trippy Stick in the restaurant and debating whether drinking 40 oz’s through a straw gets you drunker, Action and Statik enjoyed a nice meal.

The Air Jordan 3 Retro Black/Varsity Red-Cement Grey sports a glossy black tumbled leather upper, accented by cement grey on the tongue, inner liner and mid-eyestay, as well as elephant print overlays wrapped around the toebox and heel. Varsity Red works Jumpman branding on the tongue, tongue padding and lower eyelets, while white takes care of heel Jumpman branding and the midsole. GanGrene (ALC and OHNO) New LP
Sauced on exotic inebriates, the West Coast producer/emcees The Alchemist and Oh No will release their second grimy Gangrene collaboration on January 24th. The new dose, Vodka & Ayahausca, is a follow-up to last year’s gritty debut Gutter Water. Both Al &Oh again split their time between composing dense, sample-based landscapes micro-dotted with tales of psychotropia. While Ayahuasca (a natural hallucinogenic brew containing DMT) may not be a term familiar to the palette of the average rap consumer, Gangrene is soon to change all that.
The album boasts choice co-pilots; Kool G Rap goes in on “Gladiator Music”, Prodigy (of Mobb Deep) unloads on the lead single “DumpTruck” (coming Nov. 21st), and the appropriately dilated ally Evidence joins Roc C on the heavy-lidded, “Dark Shades”. In addition, Greneberg EP collaborator Roc Marciano laces the suggestive “Drink Up”, a welcome addition to the kaleidoscopic head-trip.
