The Air Jordan 1 Pinnacle Gets the Hender Scheme Treatment

For the 30th anniversary of Jordan, the brand developed the Air Jordan 1 Pinnacle, giving the iconic silhouette the most premium treatment possible. Previously releasing in black and white leather with metallic gold accents, the most beautiful iteration yet is due to come out in the following weeks. This time around, the sneaker receives a full vegetable-tanned leather upper with a brushed copper heel tab reading “1985.” Just like Hender Scheme’s godly creations, each pair will wear and age uniquely, due to the nature of the materials, making this the perfect anniversary treatment for the beloved silhouette.....

ToDAY is “Force Friday,” a.k.a. Christmas for Star Wars fanatics. Various product tie-ins for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be up available for purchase, including the Sphero BB-8 droid and various LEGO sets. Joining those covetable products is this Millennium Falcon drone, and even if it’s not the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, it’s still got our attention. Unveiled by Disney during an 18-hour “Star Wars: Global Unboxing Livestream” event, the remote-controlled quadcopter drone is built by Air Hogs and is constructed from high-density foam to withstand the occasional aerial mishap. Shoe Gallery Partners With Reebok to Release the “El Mariel” Ventilator

Miami’s Shoe Gallery has teamed up with Reebok to release a Ventilator silhouette which takes inspiration from the Mariel Boatlift, the mass emigration of Cubans to Miami back in 1980. Dubbed “El Mariel,” the Shoe Gallery design team opted for a white upper featuring highly reflective patent leather over a perforated foundation, which signifies the exterior of a boat on its way to freedom. Additional details that pay homage to the historic event include a leather sock lining, bright blue footbeds, anchor graphics under the translucent outsole, and an embossed boat registration number. The Shoe Gallery x Reebok Ventilator “El Mariel” will be arriving at Shoe Gallery in Miami September 5, followed by a release at select Rebook stockists....
