DJ ROB SWIFT...Rabia-2nd Movement

The beauty of making music with the turntables is that in can basically be made up out of any sound you want, even more so now with the advent of serato. A perfect example of this beauty in practice is Queens' DJ Rob Swift, member of The X-Men (Xecutioners) DJ crew, and one of the main forces behind that crew's two major label albums that launched them into a seemingly never ending tour of the world. All the while, Rob was perfecting his own solo material and putting it out there for us. His Sound Event album was a superb piece, and showed the world exactly what the DJs place could be in the production of an album. It can be hard to find a DJ that can produce a complete album, that's cohesive, and Rob is that DJ. He has collaborated with a long list of notable artists, including Bob James, Large Professor, Blue Man Group, Herbie Hancock, Bob James, Linkin Park, Good Charlotte, Dan The Automator, Fat Joe, Cypress Hill and more.

Rob's next album, The Architect, will serve as his first release on (genius musician) Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings label....Coming Feb 23rd
