Burn Rubber x Reebok Ventilator "Boblo Boat"

Reebok continues its 25th anniversary celebration of the classic Ventilator by linking up with Detroit’s Burn Rubber for a collaborative version of the retro runner. Inspired by Burn Rubber co-founder Roland Coit’s childhood trips to Boblo Island Amusement Park in Ontario — just 18 miles away from the Motor City — the “Boblo Boat” pays homage to the 45-minute ferry rides to the park. Thus, the shoe adopts the likes of the boat’s grey, white and blue design, as well as its bright yellow smokestack. Icy outsoles act as a nod to the waters of the Detroit River while Burn Rubber’s own signature hangtags and heel branding have been redesigned to imitate the boats’ infamous dock.
