Soul Assassins X BAMBU X PnoY hat....

Early this year, Bambu and Soul Assassins began talks on a collaboration project. Ideas were thrown around and what eventually came to fruition was a hat that would represent a community in Los Angeles that has since elapsed. Bambu brought Pnoy Apparel on board to handle the design and production of the hat. What was created was something that properly represents a niche community with a remarkable design that would look right sitting on anybody’s head. The colors are a manipulated version of the Philippine flag colors. The bottom of the brim is screen printed with a traditional “Headhunter” tattoo design. Inside the hat, there is a printed lyric line from Bambu’s song, “Paper Thin” that reads, “…tell the story of our people that they failed to mention…” The back of the hat boasts the infamous SA logo and the Philippine sun mark of Pnoy Apparel. Up front, it reads, “Philippines,” but when turned upside down, the customized script reads, “Los Angeles.” This ambigram truly embodies the concept of the hat. Along with the hat, Soul Assassins will present a mixtape that showcases Bambu over some of DJ Muggs’ hits. This mixtape promises to keep your speakers busy until the next project! The Soul Assassins X Pnoy Apparel X Bambu snap back will be sold as a package with the mixtape and a hat. Stay tuned to soulassassins.com, …hats will be shipping in two weeks
